This canvas has had a long life giving me great pleasure. ...if I were to guess there are/were about 6 completed paintings underneath, it's skin is sagging, loose and needs to be restretched. One of the paintings underneath, was shown at a museum .... but I heard the canvas calling me.... it wasn't finished yet... so one day I started, once again, over painting the thick rough oil textured canvas with a new voice. This time the story is coming slowly... in fact a few times the canvas fell asleep on my studio floor, and I almost conceded. After a few nudges I am proud to say we still are together close to making a commitment...close I said......... but then again..... one never knows... I just following it's lead.
